Hey there, lovely reader! I’m Veya, and I just wanted to share a little peek into a conversation my team and I recently had while prepping for our upcoming Murder Mystery and Magic event. It’s always fascinating to discuss the little details that really bring our scenes to life—especially when it comes to sourcing props that feel genuine. We agreed that thrift stores and antique shops are our go-to spots first and foremost. There’s something special about finding candlesticks or vintage items that come with a history of their own. You can feel the stories they hold, and they just read more authentically on camera. Then, we talked about online vintage and auction marketplaces, where the inventory is so vast and specific. Searching by era or type makes it easier to find that exact letter opener or unique trinket that adds a touch of magic to the scene. Of course, sometimes we need multiple quantities for our characters, which leads us to party supply and theatrical prop retailers. They have just the right sealed envelopes and prop weapons that look great on screen and mean we can keep the story flowing without hesitation. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between the real and the theatrical, and I love being part of a team that values those little details! Thanks for stopping by my page—can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes moments with you!
